Tottenham Hotspur are ready to give it their all to have 21-year-old Argentine defensive midfielder Ezequiel Fernandez in their ranks.

According to a report by Boca Noticias, Tottenham Hotspur are keen on bolstering their squad ahead of next season, and Boca Juniors sensation Ezequiel Fernandez is a target for the North London club, who are ready to go all out for his services.

Ezequiel Fernandez has been at Boca Junior since his childhood days, and he has come up the ranks at some pace. The 21-year-old made it to their first team at the start of last year and has since gone from strength to strength.

So far, he has featured in 48 matches for the Argentine club and even has two goal contributions. The young defensive midfielder has made quite a name for himself, and his impressive performances have attracted interest from England in particular.

Tottenham’s pursuit and Boca’s stance on selling Ezequiel Fernandez

Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs that are huge admirers of the 21-year-old, and they have been monitoring him for a while now. But, it seems they have fast-tracked the process, as they are eager to have him in their ranks as soon as possible.

Boca Juniors lost one of their stars, Valentin Barco, who ended up joining Brighton in the winter. Juan Roman Riquelme did not really want to lose him, but he didn’t really have many options. Now, with clubs keen on having the Argentine defensive midfielder in their ranks, he wants to ensure, the Argentine giants can keep hold of their star man.

Of late, Tottenham have appeared eager to sign him. While their interest has not been made formal yet, Spurs are willing to give it their all to have Ezequiel Fernandez in their ranks starting next season.

Ange Postecoglou has had a great start at Tottenham, but his team seems to lack depth at this stage. They are planning to add young quality players to have a squad capable enough to fight for important titles, and signing Fernandez is a part of their plans as they look to move on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

But, Boca Juniors have no intention of letting him yet at this stage, having already lost Barco in the winter. Fernandez is important to their plans, and they will try their best to keep him at the club but that still seems like an unlikely event. Meanwhile, Tottenham have other midfielders, including James Garner, on their radar. So, it will be interesting to see who bolsters their squad this summer.
