Manchester United are reportedly still interested in signing 30-year-old Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane this summer.

According to a report by Football Transfers, Harry Kane remains the subject of interest from Manchester United. The Red Devils were keen on signing the Bayern Munich striker before joining the Bundesliga champions last summer. And they are still eager to secure his services in the summer transfer window.

The Rise and Rise of Harry Kane

Harry Kane has been one of the best strikers in the world for nearly a decade. He had to bide his time before becoming a regular for Tottenham. But the Englishman did not look back after establishing a foothold in the first-team squad at the North London club, becoming a talismanic figure for his side.

The 30-year-old spent nearly two decades at Tottenham, but his 19-year-long stint with the club ended last summer when he joined Bayern Munich. Kane has been exceptional thus far for the Bavarian giants, amassing 29 goals and eight assists in 30 appearances this term. But amid rising uncertainties at Bayern Munich, the veteran striker’s future is up in the air.

Thomas Tuchel will leave Bayern Munich when the 2023/24 season ends. The German tactician’s exit might also pave the way for a few players’ departures. And Manchester United are ready to pounce by launching the offensive to sign Kane in the summer transfer window.

Manchester United Want Kane

Manchester United were interested in signing Harry Kane last summer, with Erik ten Hag pushing for his signature. But a move did not materialise, with the England captain picking Bayern Munich as his next club after leaving Tottenham. However, the continued interest in him is intriguing.

While Manchester United can do with a striker due to the non-existent future of Anthony Martial at Old Trafford, they need someone to be Rasmus Hojlund’s deputy and competitor. Instead, Kane will be the first-choice striker if he joins Manchester United, which can hamper Hojlund’s progress.

Nevertheless, Manchester United remain interested in Kane and will look to secure his services in the summer transfer window. But they might face stiff competition from Chelsea, with the West London club also keen on signing the 30-year-old English striker.
