Chelsea remain keen on securing the services of the 24-year-old Juventus star striker Dusan Vlahovic.
According to a report by Fichajes, Chelsea are looking at ways to bolster their attack ahead of next season. While they have a squad full of young talented players, they lack a clinical finisher up top and signing one is their priority for the summer. Dusan Vlahovic is a name that has been on their radar for a while now.
The Blues are now looking to revive their interest in the Serbian star ahead of the transfer window. He made a name for himself at Fiorentina before making the move to Juventus in the winter of 2022. The Serbian international has been a bit inconsistent since making the move to the Turin-based club.
He has featured in a total of 87 matches and has found the back of the net on 36 occasions. The 24-year-old has found some form in the ongoing season, he has 13 goals in his 22 league outings. Despite his impressive form his future still remains uncertain.
Juventus’ stance on Vlahovic
As far as Juventus are concerned, they are open to discussing the departure of their star forward for the right price. The Italian club are struggling because of their financial situation and as a result, they are ready to negotiate the departure of the majority of their players. Vlahovic is a player who has been attracting a lot of interest in general.
Chelsea are one of the clubs keen on having the Serbian striker in their ranks. The Blues have built a squad of young talented players under the new ownership but they still need a few pieces to get back to their pace. A new striker is a must as Mauricio Pochettino looks to revive the Blues.
They want to add someone who is a proven goal scorer. Werner is a quality number nine, he might have struggled during his initial day at Juventus but he has been doing fine of late and could be a great addition to the Blues ranks.
He is still only 24 and will only get better with time, as a result, the Blues are ready to fork out a total of €60 million for the Juventus striker. Now, it will be interesting to see if that is enough to convince Juventus to sell the forward.
