Arsenal and Chelsea are considering moves for Mohammed Kudus in the summer, with West Ham United set to take a tough stance on the Ghanaian.
According to Fichajes, Arsenal and Chelse are reportedly interested in Mohammed Kudus in the summer. The story also claims the Blues are willing to pay €45 million to sign him, although it is tough to see West Ham United even entertain any offers close to that price range.
Arsenal and Chelsea keen on Mohammed Kudus
Mohammed Kudus certainly surprised a few people when he chose to join West Ham United when, in fact, he had the interest of many other clubs. West Ham paid a fee of around €43 million, which seemed reasonable for Ajax to accept and sell the Ghanaian midfielder.
Kudus has had a fantastic start life at the London Stadium, scoring 13 goals and assisting three times in 30 appearances across all competitions. Some of those previously interested clubs, like Arsenal and Chelsea, are now considering approaches in the summer, with the Blues reportedly willing to pay €45 million for the attacker.
West Ham might sell if the offer is right, meaning they are not about to entertain the reported offering from Chelsea worth €45 million. The Hammers have shown in the past they will part ways with any player should the right offer come in, meaning they will demand significantly for Kudus considering his age and future potential.
So, the price point will be much more significant than Chelsea’s €45 million, the report claims. Arsenal and Chelsea might go head-to-head for the attacker in the coming window, and any negotiation will be intense.
Arsenal and Chelsea are eyeing midfield changes in the summer
Both clubs are equipped with the deeper midfield role, although the duo might see some changes to some of the more advanced players in their squad. For instance, Arsenal are reportedly considering selling Emile Smith Rowe, which might be the reason for the Kudus links now.
Mohammed Kudus fits the idea of a Smith Rowe replacement properly, and the same goes for Chelsea, who are likely to sell Conor Gallagher, with Tottenham still interested in the midfielder. Hence, the Blues will want someone with the output quality of Kudus to likely replace the England international in their otherwise expensively assembled side.
