Arsenal could sell Jakub Kiwior to sign Jorrel Hato

Jakub Kiwior has been linked with a move away from Arsenal in recent months, and they might sell him to fund a move for Jorrel Hato.

Jakub Kiwior has struggled for regular game time, and a report from Give Me Sport has claimed that Arsenal could now cash in on the Polish defender, who cost the Gunners £20 million when he arrived from Spezia, to fund a move for Jorrel Hato.

The Ajax defender has been linked with a move to Arsenal in recent months. The 17-year-old central defender is capable of operating as a left-back as well, and he could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition for the North London club.

Arsenal have several quality central defenders at their disposal, and Hato might have to settle for the role of a squad player. The Ajax defender certainly has the potential to develop into a top-class player, and he could eventually break into the starting lineup.

Arsenal need more quality and depth in their squad to compete for major trophies consistently. Players like Hato could prove to be superb acquisitions for the right price.

Hato would be a solid future investment

The 17-year-old is likely to be tempted to join a club like Arsenal if there is a concrete proposal on the table. He has a contract with Ajax until the summer of 2025, and they will be under pressure to cash in on him if he does not renew his deal.

They will not want to lose him on a free transfer next year. It makes sense for Ajax to sell him for a nominal price in the upcoming summer transfer window. Arsenal should look to take advantage of his contract situation and get the deal done.

He could prove to be a long-term asset for the Gunners. Signing him for a nominal price this summer could prove to be a master stroke in the long run. Mikel Arteta has done well to nurture talented young players at Arsenal, and the Spanish manager could play a key role in the development of the Dutch  defender if he moves to Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Kiwior, who cost Arsenal £20 million, needs to play regularly at this stage of his career and it will be interesting to see where he ends up. He has been linked with the return to Italy in recent months.
