Tottenham are expected to part ways with Bryan Gil in the summer, with the 23-year-old forward no longer in their plans.

Dean Jones on Give Me Sport believes Bryan Gill will leave Tottenham at the end of the season, having failed to establish himself at the club. The 23-year-old forward was even expected to leave Spurs in January but has chosen to stay and fight for his place.

Tottenham career over for Bryan Gil?

Signed as a promising young star for the future, Bryan Gil has utterly failed to convince at least three managers of his qualities at Tottenham. Since arriving from Sevilla in a deal that saw Erik Lamela go the other way, the Spaniard has not made any headway at the club.

He has since gone on temporary loans back to La Liga with Valencia and Sevilla, winning the Europa League with the latter last season. At Tottenham, he had featured sporadically, mainly when the club had a mini-injury crisis in the attack before the turn of the year.

Real Sociedad were keen to sign him in January, although Gil seemingly chose to stay put at Tottenham and fight for his place. Realistically, Ange Postecoglou has plenty of attacking options to consider in his squad before he turns up to the 23-year-old forward for solutions.

Dean Jones insists the 23-year-old forward will be expected to depart the club in the summer, having failed to establish himself properly. Tottenham will hope for a fair value in the market, with a return to Spain looking like the most likely outcome for the attacker.

Tottenham is planning on further attacking additions

Tottenham surprised a few with their decision to sign Timo Werner on a loan deal in January. The German was signed considering Manor Solomon might miss more game time due to his injury problems this season. However, Postecoglou remains keen to bring in a permanent attacking solution if they do not sign the German full-time in the summer.

Raphinha remains linked, as Jones insisted. However, the Brazilian might not fancy a return to England and would prefer to stay at his dream club, Barcelona. Pedro Neto is also a target and could drag Spurs into a transfer battle. Overall, Postecoglou will target a new attacker to bolster his front line, which could see the permanent end of Gil at the club.
