Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will prioritise the signing of West Ham United star Lucas Paqueta in the summer of 2024.

According to a report by Fichajes, Manchester City are always on the lookout for players who can help further bolster their already star-studded squad. The English giants have already laid down the roadmap for the upcoming summer transfer window, and they have their eyes set on a €70 million move for Lucas Paqueta.

Manchester City are always in search of the best talent out there. They consider Paqueta to be a special player, and Pep Guardiola wants him in his ranks on a priority basis. He has been on their radar for over a year now and they are planning to make a move in the summer.

The 26-year-old attacking midfielder has taken his game to the next level since joining West Ham in the summer of 2022. He has featured in numerous roles across the pitch for the Hammers and has done well everywhere he has been asked to play.

His versatility and consistency is what attracts Guardiola. The Spanish manager feels Lucas Paqueta is an ideal fit for his system. They wanted to sign the Brazil international last summer and were very close to his signatures. But, unfortunately, the move did not go through.

Manchester City might have failed to sign him but they remained interested in the 26-year-old’s services. They have been closely monitoring him and are ready to make a move in the summer. The Citizens feel the Brazil international could play a big role in helping them maintain their dominance in the Premier League as well as Europe.

As far as Lucas Paqueta is concerned, he would love to join Manchester City. He will have a better opportunity to win major titles in Guardiola’s team. The English club are expected to try everything to ensure they get their hands on their priority target. As per the report, they are willing to fork out €70 million to land the 26-year-old at the club. It will be interesting to see what their initial offer looks like in less than six months from now.

What about Nunes. He then becomes redundant. Why was he signed. There is McAtee.
