La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid have reportedly asked for information about Leny Yoro, valued at €60 million by LOSC Lille.

According to a report by Spanish outlet MARCA, Leny Yoro is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. The Spanish giants are keen on signing the French sensation as a long-term central defensive solution. And they have submitted an enquiry for the Lille wonderkid, who will cost around €60 million.

Leny Yoro and his Skyrocketing Stock

Leny Yoro has established himself as one of the best young defensive prospects in the world in the last 12 months. The teenage sensation made his first-team debut as a 16-year-old towards the end of the 2021/22 season. And he has come leaps and bounds since then, becoming a mainstay at the back for Lille.

The French giants have an exceptional defensive record this season, particularly in 2024, not conceding a single goal this year. Yoro has played his part in that defensive solidity while chipping in with three goals in 26 outings thus far this term. Meanwhile, the youngster’s progress has not gone unnoticed.

High in Demand

Several high-profile clubs have set their sights on Leny Yoro, with Chelsea recently dispatching scouts to watch him in action. He is also a target for several other Premier League heavyweights, including Manchester United and Liverpool. Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain will prioritise signing him this summer, with Real Madrid competing for his signature as well.

Real Madrid’s interest in Yoro is understandable, considering Carlo Ancelotti has an ageing defensive unit at his disposal. David Alaba, Nacho, and Antonio Rudiger are on the wrong side of 30. In addition, Nacho has entered the final year of his contract, with talks over a new deal progressing slowly.

So, it behoves Real Madrid to invest in a young highly-rated centre-back, with Leny Yoro emerging as a viable target. The Merengues have approached LOSC Lille to ask for information about the French sensation. Meanwhile, the 18-year-old will not come cheap, with Les Dogues demanding around €60 million to part ways with him.

The Spanish giants do not usually shy away from shelling out the big bucks on a youngster if they believe in him. Real Madrid recently broke the bank to sign Endrick from Palmeiras. So, it will be interesting to see if they will cough up €60 million to sign Yoro from Lille.
