Manchester United could open talks for Gleison Bremer over a summer move, with Juventus likely to demand over €70 million.

According to Tutto Sport, Manchester United could be prepared to open talks with Juventus for Gleison Bremer. Erik ten Hag will want a powerful defender in the summer as he eyes changes to his backline, with the Bianconeri likely to ask for more than €70 million to sell the Brazilian.

Manchester United are interested in Gleison Bremer

Manchester United have seen multiple links over the past few months with a new central defender. The club have conceded 29 goals in the Premier League this season, which is considered extremely leaky compared to the standards set by the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City.

Erik ten Hag remains intent on bringing a new centre-back with a glowing reputation once the season ends and has set sights on Gleison Bremer. The €70 million-rated Brazilian international could accept a challenge in the Premier League. Still, the Red Devils might want to qualify for the Champions League to attract top talents like the Brazilian.

Bremer already has plenty of interest from Premier League heavyweights, including Manchester United. The Red Devils could open talks with Juventus to find out a way to sign the Brazilian, as the Bianconeri would reportably ask well over €70 million to sell the defender.

Bremer has made a mark under Massimiliano Allegri, with Juventus gunning for the Scudetto with full force this season. Manchester United were reportedly quoted €70 million before the January window and could well see that price rise when it comes to the summer.

Manchester United keen on a defensive revamp

Not only is Ten Hag eyeing a new centre-back, but there are those in the current squad in danger of leaving the club. Raphael Varane has had his problems, while Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans could also depart in the summer.

Manchester United likes Matthijs de Ligt as an option, with Ten Hag considering the former Ajax star as an option. Similarly, they could also turn their attention towards Marc Guehi, who ticks a lot of boxes in terms of what the Red Devils need.

Ten Hag could also target full-backs, with both flanks needing reinforcements after the problems they endured this season. Overall, the Dutch manager eyes a lot of changes to his backline, as defensive security will be his priority target in the close season.
