Chelsea defender Malang Sarr has been linked with a move away from the club and Le Havre are hoping to sign him on loan.
According to journalist Santi Aouna, French club Le Havre are looking to complete a loan move for the 25-year-old Chelsea defender and it remains to be seen whether the two parties can secure an agreement.

Sarr joined Chelsea back in 2020 and he has not been able to hold down a regular starting spot for them.
The 25-year-old has had loan spells with clubs like Porto and Monaco since joining the Blues. He needs to leave the club permanently in order to get his career back on track. Since August 2020, the Chelsea defender has made just 21 appearances for the club. It is evident that he is not a part of Chelsea’s plans going forward and it would be ideal for all parties to go their separate ways.
It will be interesting to see if Chelsea are prepared to let him leave on loan. He has a contract at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2025 and the Blues will prefer to get rid of him permanently.
Meanwhile, a loan move to Le Havre could be beneficial for the defender right now. He needs to play regularly and the French club will certainly offer him more opportunities than Chelsea. A return to his homeland would be ideal for him as well. He would get to rebuild his confidence and sharpness with regular football in familiar surroundings.
The defender was highly rated before he moved to Chelsea but his development has not gone according to plan over the last few seasons. That said, he is still only 25 and he could certainly make the most of his remaining years in the game with the right move. It will be interesting to see where he ends up eventually.
Chelsea have a massive squad and they could certainly do with some departures on deadline day. They need to get rid of the fringe players in order to unburden the wage bill.
Getting rid of Sarr should be one of their priorities before the window closes.
