Getafe eyeing summer move for Nico Paz, Mario Martin

La Liga club Getafe will reportedly look to sign Nico Paz and Mario Martin on loan from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Getafe will look to sign two players from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window. Nico Paz and Mario Martin are the subjects of interest from the Azulones, who will look to secure their services on a loan deal for the 2024/25 season.

Mario Martin, Nico Paz: Two Hot Real Madrid Prospects

Nico Paz is one of the best young prospects to emerge from Real Madrid’s youth division. The son of former Argentine international Pablo Paz, the 19-year-old is a native of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and began his youth career in the city. But he has risen in prominence since joining Real Madrid in July 2016.

The teenage sensation has chosen Argentina on the international stage and has come leaps and bounds this term. The Argentine youth international has already made eight appearances for Real Madrid, chipping in with a goal. Like Nico Paz, Mario Martin is a highly-rated 19-year-old midfield prospect.

The Spaniard is a native of Sonseca and began his youth career in his hometown. He passed through the academies at CD Toledo and Odelot Toletum before joining Real Madrid. Mario Martin has risen through the ranks at Real Madrid alongside Nico Paz. And he has already turned out twice thus far for Los Blancos.

Move Across La Liga on the Cards?

Nico Paz has already captured the attention of several high-profile clubs, with Borussia Dortmund recently emerging as a suitor. The 19-year-old is now a target for Getafe, who will look to secure his services on a season-long loan move in the summer transfer window.

Alongside Nico Paz, Mario Martin is also a target for Getafe. The Azulones have a healthy working relationship with Real Madrid, signing players like Borja Mayoral, Takefusa Kubo, and others from Los Blancos. Loan moves have been the name of the game for the most part, and the homegrown midfield prospects might soon move to Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

The 19-year-old duo will be eager for regular game time at the first-team level next season. Getafe can come to their rescue, and it will be interesting to see if they can hash out a double loan deal with Real Madrid.
