Arsenal are reportedly monitoring Marcus Rashford’s situation at Manchester United after the 26-year-old’s recent troubles at Old Trafford.

Football Insider has sparked rumours of Arsenal’s interest in Manchester United star Marcus Rashford. The 26-year-old landed in trouble over a recent controversy, which has sparked speculation that he might leave Old Trafford, with the Gunners reportedly attentive to his situation.

Are Arsenal interested in Marcus Rashford?

Back in 2022, the Gunners held genuine interest in Marcus Rashford, with the report stating they had set aside £45 million to sign the England international. The 26-year-old has since signed a lucrative new deal with Manchester United and is one of their highest-paid players.

Rashford landed in hot waters following his nightclub controversy, where the 26-year-old was pictured partying but reportedly told the club he was sick ahead of joining the training. Those stories have created a controversy in the background, with Manchester United reportedly fining him two weeks’ wages.

Now, Arsenal are reportedly looking at Rashford as an option, as Mikel Arteta has admired the player and continues to look for options to shore up the wings. Pedro Neto remains a target, while there are others like Xavi Simons also being considered.

Rashford could become an interesting option and could also add massive value to Arsenal. However, any deal to bring him from Manchester United could prove difficult for the Gunners. But it is still an option worth exploring if the 26-year-old’s situation keeps deteriorating at Old Trafford.

Could Rashford join Arsenal?

There is a big ‘if’ in the whole rumour, as the Gunners have recently targetted big players from rivals like West Ham United and Chelsea for Declan Rice and Kai Havertz, and could potentially think about Rashford too. However, there are plenty of complications in dealing with Manchester United.

PSG are also keen on Rashford, but Arsenal’s interest could appeal to the 26-year-old for the long term. However, the financial implications of a deal may not suit the Gunners, who might look to invest that kind of money in someone like Pedro Neto.

Hence, while the idea of Rashford playing for Arsenal may turn the heads of some fans, the move is far from realistic. For now, the winger remains contracted at Old Trafford for many years, which in itself gives the Red Devils power to reject any bids for their talismanic winger.
