Leicester City are reportedly not ready to sell English midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall amid interest from Arsenal.

A report from Football Insider has claimed that Leicester City will not sanction the departure of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. The development will come as a major blow for Arsenal.

Arsenal Interested in Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

The Gunners were hoping to sign the 25-year-old midfielder, who has been in splendid form for Leicester City. Dewsbury-Hall has contributed to nine goals and nine assists across all competitions this season, and he could have been a quality acquisition for Arsenal.

Arsenal certainly need more quality and depth in the middle of the park, and the 25-year-old midfielder would have been the ideal fit for them. Reports have claimed that the North Londoners have scouted him regularly this season.

He would have added creativity, technical ability and drive to their midfield. The Englishman can operate as a central midfielder, a box-to-box midfielder as well as a central attacking midfielder. He has the qualities to thrive at a big club, and a move to the Premier League would have been the ideal step up for him.

The midfielder is clearly too good for the Championship, and he needs to compete at a higher level. A move to Arsenal could have been an exciting opportunity for the player, and it remains to be seen whether the Gunners decide to resurrect their interest in him at the end of the season. But by then, Leicester City would have probably clinched promotion.

Arsenal will have to add more quality and depth to their squad to win the league title. Adding more goals and creativity to the side should be a top priority for them, and the Leicester City midfielder certainly fits the profile.

Along with Dewsbury-Hall, they should look to sign a reliable striker as well. Arsenal have looked toothless in the final third this season, and the arrival of a quality playmaker and a reliable goalscorer can transform them. Meanwhile, the player will be tempted to compete in the Premier League next season, and it remains to be seen whether he can guide the Foxes to promotion.

If Leicester manage to secure promotion to the Premier League, Arsenal might find it difficult to attract the 25-year-old midfielder. His asking price is likely to increase, and he might not be too keen on forcing an exit either. It will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds over the next few months.
