Crystal Palace and West Ham United have reportedly submitted enquiries for 26-year-old Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

According to a report by Manchester Evening News, Crystal Palace and West Ham United are interested in Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The two London clubs have approached Manchester United for the 26-year-old defender. The former Crystal Palace defender cost the Red Devils £50 million.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka and his Manchester United Journey

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining Manchester United from Crystal Palace. The Red Devils had shelled out £50 million to secure the services of the London-born full-back. But the investment seems excessive, even though he has given a good account of himself.

While the 26-year-old has been a solid defender in the last four and a half years, his offensive output has been shoddy. So, it is hardly surprising that he has been in and out of the starting lineup under Erik ten Hag. Wan-Bissaka has featured 17 times thus far this season, chipping in with two assists.

Meanwhile, the player has entered the final 18 months of his contract after Manchester United triggered the option to extend his deal. But the Red Devils are reportedly eager to discuss new terms with him. Meanwhile, Wan-Bissaka’s situation has captured the attention of Crystal Palace and West Ham United. The two London clubs have submitted enquiries to sign him.

London Calling?

Crystal Palace’s interest in Aaron Wan-Bissaka is understandable, considering Joel Ward and Nathaniel Clyne are on the wrong side of 30. So, the Eagles need a younger right-back to become the long-term first-choice starter. Meanwhile, a part-exchange deal involving Crystal Palace talisman Michael Olise might also reportedly be on the cards.

As for West Ham United, the Hammers are in a spot of bother over the futures of Vladimir Coufal and Ben Johnson. Recent reports have linked the duo with moves away from the London Stadium. So, West Ham might need a new first-choice right-back next season. Wan-Bissaka has thus emerged as a viable target.

Manchester United might incur a loss on the investment of £50 million if they sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer. But it will be interesting to see if they are open to a sale amid links with Crystal Palace and West Ham.
