Liverpool are interested in acquiring the services of the 21-year-old Shakhtar Donetsk attacking midfielder Georgiy Sudakov.

According to a report by Calciomercato, Liverpool are keen on further bolstering their midfield and they have their eyes on Georgiy Sudakov. The Merseyside club have been monitoring him for a while now and they would love to have him in their ranks.

Sudakov joined the youth ranks of Shakhtar Donetsk in 2017. He has since gone up the ranks at the club and was promoted to the first team at the start of 2021. He has gone from strength to strength with every passing season and is now one of the most important players for the Ukrainian club.

The 21-year-old is capable enough to feature as an attacking midfielder, a central midfielder as well as on either flank in the centre of the park. His versatility and his impressive performances in the recent past have resulted in a lot of interest in his services.

Multiple clubs from across Europe are willing to battle it out for his services. Barcelona and Liverpool are two of the clubs that are keen. The Catalan giants are always on the lookout for young players with huge potential who can help their cause.

Sudakov is not just young, he is an exceptional player who has proved his worth for both club and country. As a result, he is someone who can surely help bolster the Catalan giants’ squad. While the Spanish club are keen on signing the 21-year-old, they will have to battle it out with Liverpool.

The Merseyside club have been doing wonders in the ongoing season. They have turned things around after a nightmare season last time out by completing an overhaul in the centre of the park. While they did acquire quite a few players, there is still a need for another attacking midfielder and they feel Sudakov is a perfect fit.

As a result, they have been monitoring him closely since the end of the summer of the window. The Reds as well as the Catalan giants have been in talks with the player’s entourage and both clubs are expected to knock on the door for his services next summer. Liverpool will surely have an advantage in this race as they are not going through a financial crisis, unlike Barcelona who are.
