Georgiy Sudakov continues to attract massive interest from top clubs after a string of impressive performances for club and country.

According to 90min, the list of suitors for Georgiy Sudakov continues to grow in the background, with Barcelona and Newcastle United joining the chase. The 21-year-old highly-rated midfielder has put in a string of impressive displays for Shakhtar Donetsk and Ukraine, attracting much interest from top clubs.

Shakhtar Donetsk already have a new prized asset and have already measured out their next big sale. Their 21-year-old, highly-rated midfielder Georgiy Sudakov continues to see a rise in his stocks after a string of impressive performances for club and country.

Clubs around the Premier League and Spain always look out for the best available talents from elsewhere, and Sudakov indeed features in that category. As the list keeps growing, the 21-year-old highly-rated midfielder has seen some of the best clubs showing an interest in signing him.

Shakhtar made one of their most significant sales with the transfer of Mykhailo Mudryk to Chelsea last January and could repeat the trick in a couple of months. The Ukraine winger has yet to perform to the expected levels but still has a promising future ahead of him.

The reports state Sudakov is a good friend of the Chelsea winger, who even suggested he move to a big league like the Premier League to aid his development earlier. Hence, the chances of Sudakov entering the frame at one of the top clubs are possible in the near future.

Many top clubs were already interested in signing him, and the list now has Barcelona and Newcastle United. Arsenal were also keen and have kept tabs. In addition, the Gunners have open channels with Shakhtar after they were involved in heavy negotiations for Mudryk last January.

Mikel Arteta remains keen on adding some top talents, and Sudakov represents a profile he is most eager to add. The Gunners already have stars like Fabio Vieira and Emile Smith Rowe. But they could even sell the latter to create space for someone like Sudakov.

Barcelona’s interest is not surprising, considering they might enter the January market searching for a replacement for Gavi, who will miss the remainder of the season. The big question would be the affordability of the 21-year-old highly-rated midfielder, who will cost a lot considering his long-term contract with Shakhtar.

Similarly, Newcastle United are also experiencing some FFP problems and may need more resources to spend in January. While they might show an interest in Sudakov, signing him on a loan with a buy option may work out for the Magpies.

Overall, Sudakov could start a transfer battle between some of the top clubs as more and more sides could join in the hunt. Much will depend on how much Shakhtar would want in return, as a massive price tag could filter out some of the sides currently keen on the 21-year-old highly-rated midfielder.
