Manchester United will have no chance to sign 23-year-old Real Madrid attacking mainstay Vinicius Junior, with there being no contacts over a deal.

According to a report by ESPN Brasil, Vinicius Junior will remain at Real Madrid beyond the two transfer windows this season. Recent updates have linked the 23-year-old with Manchester United. But the Red Devils are not in contact over a possible deal, with Los Blancos uninterested in selling him.

The Rise and Rise of Vinicius Junior

Vinicius Junior has established himself as one of the best attackers in the world since joining Real Madrid. Los Blancos took time to groom him and make him an undisputed first-choice forward. But he has not looked back since establishing a foothold in the senior squad at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Brazilian international has seen his stock skyrocket in the last few seasons, becoming a talismanic figure for Real Madrid. While the 23-year-old has not been at his best this term, he remains a pivotal figure for Los Blancos. And Vinicius has contributed to 13 goals in just 16 outings thus far this season, finding the back of the net nine times while providing four assists.

The former Flamengo whizkid scored a match-winning hat-trick this past weekend as Real Madrid beat Barcelona to lift the Spanish Super Cup. But recent reports have claimed that the player might face an uncertain future at Real Madrid if Kylian Mbappe arrives from Paris Saint-Germain. Such a situation had captured the attention of Manchester United.

Manchester United Calling?

The Premier League heavyweights are long-term admirers of the Brazilian international, who has been on their radar for many years. The 23-year-old can be a long-term offensive solution for Manchester United. But the rumours have never made sense, considering Marcus Rashford is the first-choice option for the left flank.

Nonetheless, it seemed Manchester United have been keen on signing Vinicius Junior, with recent reports pointing to Real Madrid’s openness to a sale. But those suggestions are wide of the mark, with Los Blancos not interested in entertaining any bids for the offensive mainstay.

In addition, Manchester United have not established any contacts over a possible deal. So, Vinicius Junior is going nowhere, with Manchester United not signing him in either transfer window this year.
