Arsenal have reportedly had an offer turned down for Borja Mayoral, and Spanish publication AS has claimed that the La Liga side will not sell the Spanish striker at any price this month. They are uninterested in sanctioning his departure.
Borja Mayoral Rising in Stature
The Spaniard has been in outstanding form this season, scoring 14 goals across all competitions, and he is a key player for Getafe. They do not want to weaken their squad in January. They will struggle to bring in a top-quality striker as his replacement this month. So, it is hardly a surprise that they do not want to sell the player.
Arsenal might have to wait until the summer transfer window to sign the striker. The Gunners are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements, and it will be interesting to see if they can sign a striker before the January window closes.
Gabriel Jesus has scored just three goals in the Premier League, and Arsenal need to improve on that if they want to keep their title hopes alive. They cannot hope to win the title against Liverpool and Manchester City without a reliable goalscorer at their disposal. Mayoral would have been a quality addition for them.

The Spaniard could be tempted to join a big club, and he will want to test himself in the Premier League. It would be a major step up in his career, and he would get to compete for major trophies with the move to the North London club.
A move to Arsenal would not only allow him to compete in the Premier League, he will also be able to showcase his qualities in the UEFA Champions League with them.
