Chelsea have been linked with a move for the Argentine international striker Paulo Dybala.

The 30-year-old striker has been linked with a move away from Roma this month and Chelsea are reportedly in constant communication to sign the player as per TuttoMercatoWeb. There is a clause in the striker’s contract that allows him to leave for a bargain price and it remains to be seen whether Chelsea can get the deal done.

It is no secret that they need to bring in attacking reinforcements and the Roma striker would be a quality acquisition. He is at the peak of his powers and he could make an immediate impact in the Premier League.

Dybala is more than just a goal scorer and he will help out creatively as well. He is capable of operating as the centre forward as well as a number ten. He is versatile enough to slot into the wide areas as well.

The 30-year-old has proven his quality in Italian football over the years and he could be tempted to try out a new challenge now. Moving to the Premier League could be an exciting opportunity for him.

Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the world and they could offer him a lucrative contract.

The Blues have struggled to compete at the top end of the table since last season and they will look look at back to challenging for major trophies. They need quality players in order to bounce back strongly and signing or top class striker would be a wise decision.

Dybala would certainly be a quality acquisition and he would be an upgrade on Nicolas Jackson. The La Liga striker joined Chelsea with the hopes of solving their goal scoring problems at the start of the season but the move has not worked out for him. He has been quite underwhelming so far and Chelsea need to bring in and alternative. They have been linked with players like Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney in recent weeks. However, Dybala would be at cheaper acquisition.

It will be interesting to see if the Blues can get the deal done before the January window slams shut.

They are currently in the middle table positions and they will be hoping to push for European qualification. They are unlikely to be able to do so without the right of reinforcements in January.
