Chelsea are ready to part ways with 22-year-old striker Armando Broja for £30 million amidst interest in his services from West Ham United.

According to a report by TEAMtalk, West Ham United are keen on bolstering their attack in the ongoing transfer window, and they are ready to make a move for Chelsea’s Armando Broja. The 22-year-old has not been able to establish himself in the Blues’ first-team, and he could be on his way out before the end of the winter window.

Armando Broja and his Chelsea Journey

Broja has been at Chelsea since his childhood days. He has come up the ranks at the club at some pace and was promoted to their first team in the summer of 2022. So far, he has featured in a total of 35 matches for their first team and only has three goals to show for it.

Injuries have not helped his progress, and Mauricio Pochettino has been keen on giving him an extended run in the first team after his return from injury. But, nothing has changed. His struggle in the final third continues as he only has two goals in 16 outings this season.

Broja has failed to cement his place in the team, and if the Blues end up signing a new number nine, the 22-year-old will be shown the exit door. Meanwhile, even the player is considering parting ways with the club.

Move Across London Beckons for Armando Broja?

While he is struggling to get going at the London club, West Ham United are still keen on acquiring his services. The Hammers have had a great spell under David Moyes of late, as they won a European title last season and are back in the top half of the table.

Moyes’s team are doing a great job, but they need attacking reinforcement. Danny Ings could part ways with them in the ongoing window as there is interest in his services from Wolves, while Michail Antonio is already in the final years of his career. As a result, a new number nine is a priority.

Broja might not have scored a truckload of goals, but the Hammers still feel he could be an ideal fit for them. The 22-year-old has huge potential, and he could get things back on track and help them for years to come.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will look for a fee of £30 million if Pochettino sanctions his departure. His contract with them does run until the summer of 2028. But that won’t be a problem as offloading him will be a boost for the Blues in terms of FFP as he is a homegrown player and can be listed as pure profit.
