Aston Villa are reportedly looking to bring 31-year-old Galatasaray attacker Wilfried Zaha back to the Premier League.

According to a report by Football Transfers, Aston Villa want to add more firepower to their attack in the ongoing transfer window and they have their eyes set on Wilfried Zaha. Unai Emery is keen on adding a new winger to his ranks as he looks to push for the Premier League title.

Wilfried Zaha and his Story So Far

Zaha joined Manchester United back in the winter of 2013 after coming through the ranks at Crystal Palace. Things did not work out for him at Old Trafford, and he rejoined the Eagles at the start of 2015.

He was a part of Palace’s first team for over eight years. The 31-year-old featured in a total of 458 matches for the Eagles and contributed towards 166 goals. After a dominating spell in the Premier League, Zaha parted ways with his childhood club last summer to join Galatasaray.

Since joining the Turkish club, the 31-year-old winger has featured in a total of 14 league games and has contributed towards seven goals. While he is quite happy at his new club and has a contract that runs until the summer of 2026, multiple clubs are keen on bringing him back to Europe.

A Premier League Return on the Cards

Aston Villa are one of the clubs interested in the 31-year-old. They have been in sensational form since the start of the 2023/24 season. Villa are currently second in the Premier League and have a chance of winning the title if they maintain similar levels right until the end.

But, Unai Emery wants to ensure he has enough firepower in his ranks to push for the league title. As a result, the Aston Villa boss is looking to add a new winger to his squad. The Spanish manager is a huge admire of Zaha. He wanted to sign him when he was in charge of Arsenal. While he might have failed to sign him in the past, Emery still feels the 31-year-old has a lot to offer.

Aston Villa have started making approaches as they look to sign the former Crystal Palace winger. But it won’t be easy to acquire his services since he made the move to the Turkish club only six months back and is quite happy there. However, the opportunity to join Villa will surely make Zaha think twice about his future.
