PSV Eindhoven will have to battle it out with LA Galaxy as they look to sign 22-year-old Manchester United forward Facundo Pellistri on loan.

According to a report by Daily Mail, Facundo Pellistri could be on the move in the ongoing transfer window as PSV Eindhoven and LA Galaxy are keen on acquiring his services. Both clubs are ready to battle it out for his services, as Manchester United are all set to once again send the 22-year-old out on loan.

Facundo Pellistri at Manchester United: The Story So Far

Pellistri made quite a name for himself while coming up the rank at Penarol. His impressive rise resulted in a move to Manchester United in October 2020. The Red Devils paid £9 million to acquire services. He was expected to work his way into the first team. But things have not gone according to plan.

Despite already making 18 appearances for the Uruguayan national side, he has failed to break into the Manchester United first team. The 22-year-old has been subject to multiple loan moves since joining the Red Devils.

While Erik ten Hag decided to keep him at the club for the 2023/24 season, the Dutch manager has not given him enough game time. In his 14 appearances this season, Pellistri has only racked up 366 minutes and has an assist to his name.

Ten Hag initially wanted him in his ranks, but he is now ready to sanction the 22-year-old’s departure amid emerging interest from Villarreal and elsewhere. PSV Eindhoven and LA Galaxy are two clubs interested in the Manchester United winger. Both teams want to bolster their attack in the ongoing transfer window, and they feel signing the Uruguayan international could help their cause.

Where Next for Pellistri?

The Dutch club have already formalised their interest in signing the Manchester United winger on loan. They are all set to begin negotiations with the Red Devils. PSV are currently sitting at the top of the Eredivisie table, and signing Pellistri could help them maintain their dominance. But they will have to battle it out with the MLS club in order to secure his services.

LA Galaxy want more firepower up top, and they feel the 22-year-old could do wonders for them. While they will try to lure him, PSV seems more appealing for the former Penarol player because they are currently at the top of their league, and it is way more competitive than the MLS.
