As per Paul Brown on Give Me Sport, it’s a strange link to have in this transfer window, as the Journalist feels Everton have their midfield sorted out right now. Harrison Reed has been impressive when he takes up the field with Fulham, but he has seen his game time vastly reduced this season.
Hence, the 28-year-old Fulham star might feel the need to play more prominently at Craven Cottage, but so far, that has not materialised. Hence, he could find it appealing to see some clubs interested, with Everton reportedly in the running.
With financial issues engulfing the Goodison Park outfit, there are chances the Toffees could approach Fulham over a loan deal. Whether that comes with the promise of regular game time or if it is to replace an outgoing player remains to be seen.
Reports are suggesting Everton might offload Andre Gomes, but the Portuguese star has impressed this season after returning from a long injury.
Alternatively, it could also be for Amadou Onana, whom Everton are ready to sell for £60 million or more amid links to Arsenal and Manchester United lately. Either way, Sean Dyche may have seen something in the midfielder that he feels would improve his Everton side.

Paul Brown has doubts about the prospects of Reed making the grade at Everton, as the Journalist feels the Toffees midfield looks entirely sorted. He insisted that if the 28-year-old Fulham star comes in expecting to start every week, then he may have made the wrong decision.
Brown said, “I’ve heard links between Everton and Reed before. I do think he is a player that they really like. I can remember, not so long ago, Marco Silva talking him up as a potential England international. He was saying that he was very surprised he hadn’t been called up.”
I actually think that it is a strange one right now, in terms of timing, because Everton have got their midfield sorted out at the moment.”I think the balance is quite good there, but someone like Reed would come in expecting to start every week. He might not get that opportunity in the way that Dyche likes to set up.”
