Fulham are eager to explore bringing Andre Silva on loan as the Portuguese striker continues to struggle with Real Sociedad this season.

According to Football Transfers, Fulham are open to approaching RB Leipzig for Andre Silva and are ready to bring the 28-year-old striker on loan for the remainder of the season. The Portuguese forward has a loan agreement with Real Sociedad until the summer but has struggled so far, which could lead to another switch.

Fulham are keen on Andre Silva

The Cottagers have been searching for a viable striker option since the summer to fill the void left by Aleksandar Mitrovic’s departure to Al-Hilal. Marco Silva targeted many names before the window ended but only managed to sign Raul Jimenez from Wolves.

He also has an interest in another Wolves star, Sasa Kalajdzic, as the two clubs could open talks this month over a deal. Now, Fulham are reportedly keen on RB Leipzig outcast Andre Silva as the Cottagers boss eyes a loan deal for the 28-year-old striker.

Silva had two mixed seasons with RB Leipzig before the club chose to let him leave on loan to Real Sociedad. In Spain, the 28-year-old striker has struggled for relevance, playing only 128 minutes of La Liga action without scoring a goal.

Leipzig might consider terminating his loan agreement, but they are reluctant to take on his high wages. Hence, the idea of Fulham taking Silva could benefit all parties, but things will also depend on whether the striker wants to join them. The Portuguese star might solve a problem or two for the Cottagers, but is he the right solution for their troubles in the final third?

Fulham are expecting a busy January window.

Apart from a striker, the Fulham boss also wants a host of other positions strengthened. As for the centre-forward role, Silva also has a few other names, like Girona’s Artem Dovbyk, but the chances of this deal happening are slim to none.

A midfielder might also arrive, with interest in Andre Trindade from Fluminense. Recent reports suggest there are plenty of problems in the deal, as negotiations have stalled with the Brazilian club.

Fulham might also consider a new defender if Tosin Adarabioyo leaves the club this month, as he’s not willing to sign a new contract at Craven Cottage. Hence, the Cottagers might have a busy few weeks as Silva will want a strong squad for the remainder of the season.
