The Bayer Leverkusen man has had an electric start to the season, scoring 16 goals in all competitions, and helped his team remain top of the Bundesliga table before the winter break.

Many have quite rightly pointed out the growing problems at Arsenal, who have lost their last two games and are showing signs they cannot finish off good chances. The loss to Fulham on Sunday pushed them into fourth and further away from leaders Liverpool.
While the club are keen on a centre-back signing, Arsenal may have a striker problem, but solving it will prove tricky, especially in the January window when there are a lot of factors at play. For starters, they have to mind their finances, which, amid FFP concerns, could block a big move for any player.
Can they sign someone on loan for the time being? They could, but there are barely any options to Mikel Arteta’s liking in the market. Stars like Ivan Toney remain linked, but in truth, the Gunners may not have the financial capacity to broker a deal in January, considering Brentford are asking for a huge fee.
Others like Victor Osimhen remain linked, but with his new contract, Napoli have a fixed release clause inserted which makes it impossible for Arsenal to consider. There are a few young options like Benjamin Sesko, as it could take plenty of time for such players to fit into their immediate requirements.

In any case, they might still ask for a massive fee for one of the in-form centre-forwards in Europe, something the Gunners may not be able to afford in January. Hence, signing Boniface is a challenging prospect for Arsenal in January, one they cannot achieve.
