Bournemouth will block any move for Dominic Solanke amid Arsenal’s interest, as Andoni Iraola does not want to lose his influential striker.

According to TEAMtalk, Bournemouth have no interest in selling Dominic Solanke in the January window. The Cherries will block any attempt from suitors of the 26-year-old and look to keep him at the Vitality Stadium until the summer at the very least.

Dominic Solanke: One of the Most In-Form Attackers in the Premier League

Andoni Iraola will have Dominic Solanke’s supreme form to thank for Bournemouth’s recent upturn in form. The Cherries have found themselves in a healthier position than before after a dreadful start to their season under the Spanish manager.

Dominic Solanke has been in a good run of scoring form for the Cherries, with Iraola hoping he stays at the club beyond the January transfer window. A host of clubs, including West Ham United and Arsenal, have shown an interest in recruiting the striker.

Solanke in Demand

It is believed that if one of the clubs express an offer in January, Solanke might consider his options despite recently signing a new deal with Bournemouth. The club could concede defeat in ideal terms and allow the forward to join another big team in the process. In case of a sale, they will want to make a good profit on the £19 million they spent to sign him.

However, the Cherries will put their foot down when it comes to 26-year-old and block any approaches from fellow Premier League sides. Bournemouth are still not out of danger as things stand, as another dreadful run of results could bring them back into the relegation mix.

With the form Solanke has found recently, they believe the striker could become an influential figure in their bid to guarantee safety from relegation. Hence, they are uninterested in selling him at any cost, although a large offer might do the trick. In any case, they might lose him in the summer.

Arsenal, for their part, have shown an interest as Mikel Arteta remains keen to recruit a new striker. There are rumours of Eddie Nketiah’s departure, which would see the Gunners sign someone to replace him. In any case, they have seen links to Ivan Toney. But any move hinges on sales and their ability to raise funds.

Dominic Solanke has proven himself in the last two seasons and could become a solid option for the Gunners. Whether they are serious about making a move remains the question, and if they are, then Arsenal must shell out a premium price for the 26-year-old forward.
