Fulham are reportedly keen on signing 24-year-old Nigerian striker Akor Adams from Ligue 1 clubs Montpellier.

According to a report from Football Insider Fulham are keen on Akor Adams, who has been in fine form for Ligue 1 club Montpellier this season.

The Nigerian striker has 24 goals and two assists in 33 matches across all competitions this season. Most of those goals came earlier this term during his time at Lillestrom. The player has managed to hit the ground running in Ligue 1 as well, scoring seven goals in 16 league matches.

There is no doubt that the 23-year-old is a quality forward who is likely to improve with coaching and experience. Fulham need to bring in a reliable replacement for Aleksandar Mitrovic, and Adams could be a solid addition. They have also shown interest in other strikers like Santiago Gimenez.

Raul Jimenez has not been able to live up to the expectations since his move to the West London club, who should invest in a younger striker with higher potential. The Montpellier striker certainly fits the profile, and it remains to be seen whether Fulham can get the deal done.

The striker has signed a contract with the Ligue 1 club until the summer of 2027, and he is unlikely to come cheap. It will be interesting to see if Fulham are prepared to break the bank for him.

The 23-year-old Nigerian will be attracted to the idea of playing in the Premier League, and a transfer to Fulham would certainly be a step up for him. It remains to be seen whether he can see the move to the Premier League during the second half of the season and guide Fulham to a top-half finish.

The West London club have an impressive squad at their disposal. But they need a couple of intelligent additions in January in order to finish the season strongly. Signing a reliable goalscorer should be a top priority for Fulham, who should look to bring in more quality and depth in the central defence as well.

Meanwhile, the striker has been linked with a move to West Ham United as well, and it remains to be seen whether Fulham can beat their London rivals to his signature.
