Manchester City are reportedly keen on signing £30 million-rated Brazilian midfielder Andre Trindade, a target for Arsenal.
Andre Trindade has been linked with clubs like Arsenal and Fulham in recent months. He was linked with a move to the Premier League in the summer transfer window. But Fluminense chose to keep him at the club back then.
As per The Sun, Andre could be on the move when the transfer window reopens in January, with Manchester City joining the race to sign him. The Brazilian midfielder is reportedly valued at £30 million by Fluminense.
Andre Trindade to Manchester City?
Manchester City are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and the opportunity to play for them can be hard to turn down for any player. The Premier League champions could certainly use a quality defensive midfielder especially if Kalvin Philips leaves the club in January. Andre would be a solid long-term investment for Manchester City, and he would improve them immensely.
The 22-year-old defensive midfielder will add a layer of protection for the defensive unit and technical ability in the middle of the park. His arrival will allow Pep Guardiola to rotate Rodri more often. It will be interesting to see if Manchester City can beat the competition from their Premier League rivals and sign the player. They certainly have the financial resources to convince Fluminense
Manchester City managed to win the treble last season, and the opportunity to play for them will be an attractive proposition for most players. It would be a major step up in Andre’s career, and the player will want to join a big club soon. It remains to be seen whether Manchester City can secure an agreement with his club in the coming weeks.
The Premier League champions have not been at their best this season, and they will hope to turn things around during the second half of the campaign. They will need to bring in the right additions in January to retain the Premier League title this season.
The opportunity to play under one of the best managers of all time will be an added incentive for the player as well. Pep Guardiola could coach him into a top-class player and help him fulfil his tremendous potential.
Meanwhile, Arsenal could use a quality defensive midfielder like him, especially if they manage to sell Thomas Partey in January. Andre could form a quality partnership with Declan Rice at the north London club. As far as Fulham are concerned, Joao Palhinha has been linked with an exit, and Andre would be a quality alternative.
