Fulham are reportedly inching closer to signing Brazilian midfielder Andre, a target for Arsenal and Liverpool, from Fluminense.

A report from TEAMtalk has claimed that Fulham are making progress in their deal to sign 22-year-old Fluminense midfielder Andre. He is a target for clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool as well.

Andre has impressed with his performances for Fluminense over the past year. So, it is no surprise that the top clubs are keen on securing his signature. He could develop into a quality Premier League midfielder, and it remains to be seen whether Fulham can secure his services.

The West London club could lose Joao Palhinha in the coming months, and the Brazilian would be a quality replacement. The Portuguese international has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich, and Fulham will have to bring in an adequate replacement if he moves on.

Signing the 22-year-old Brazilian could prove to be a wise decision, and he has all the attributes to develop into a top-class player. Meanwhile, Arsenal are keen on the player as well. Thomas Partey has been linked with a move away from the north London club and they will have to replace the Ghana international properly.

Andre would certainly be a quality long-term acquisition for them, and Mikel Arteta could help him develop into a key player for Arsenal. The Brazilian could form of quality partnership with Declan Rice at the heart of the Arsenal midfield.

Meanwhile, Liverpool tried to sign multiple defensive midfielders at the start of the season but failed to do so. Alexis Mac Allister has been deployed as the anchor this season. But the Argentine international is more suited to the role of an advanced central metro elder.

Liverpool must look to sign a quality defensive midfielder during the January window, and Andre has emerged as a viable target for them. They were linked with a move for the 22-year-old during the summer transfer window as well. But Fluminense were not keen on losing him midway through the season.

The player will be looking to take the next step in his development, and moving to the Premier League will be an attractive proposition for him. He has helped Fluminense win the Copa Libertadores and will feel he needs to take the next step in his career and pursue a different challenge.
