Ibrahima Konate: The Present And Future of Liverpool

There is no doubt that the French international defender is one of the best in his position in the Premier League. So, it is hardly a surprise that Liverpool want to keep him at the club for as long as possible.

Konate is expected to be the leader of Liverpool’s defensive unit in the foreseeable future, and the Reds must do everything in their power to keep him at the club. He has previously suggested that he dreams of playing for PSG, but Liverpool will unlikely entertain any bids for him.

The French outfit could certainly use defensive reinforcements, and signing the 24-year-old homegrown player would be a solid investment for them. But Konate is a key player for Liverpool and he is highly rated within the club.

It seems unlikely that he will force an exit from Liverpool anytime soon. So, it is fair to assume that a contract agreement might be reached soon. The 24-year-old is already operating at a very high level, and he is expected to develop into a world-class defender soon.

He will want to compete for major trophies with Liverpool, and signing a new contract with the Premier League club would be ideal for him. The report claims that Liverpool are looking to reward him for his performances since joining the club, and there is no doubt that Konate deserves a lucrative contract.
