Barcelona uninterested in swap deal to sign Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho has been linked with a move away from Manchester United in recent months, with Barcelona recently presented as a destination.

Jadon Sancho has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford, and he needs to move on in search of regular playing time. Recently, there were reports that the 23-year-old was offered in a swap deal involving Barcelona winger Raphinha. However, Mundo Deportivo has claimed that Barcelona are uninterested in a swap deal.

It will be interesting to see if Manchester United can find a suitable destination for the England international winger. But reports of a possible swap deal involving Barcelona winger Raphinha might not materialise.

The 23-year-old joined Manchester United in a deal worth £73 million a few years ago. But he has not been able to justify the investment since then. His performances have been rather underwhelming, and he has also had a public fallout with the manager Erik ten Hag.

Sancho is now sidelined, and he is unlikely to be a part of the Manchester United manager’s plans going forward. It makes sense for the Red Devils to cash in on him during the January transfer window.

They will be fully aware of the fact that they will not be able to recoup the £73 million they paid for him and will have to cut their losses on the player and move on. It will be interesting to see where Jadon Sancho ends up.

The 23-year-old was regarded as a world-class talent during his time in Germany, and he has plenty of time to get his career back on track. The England international is still only 23, and a move away from Manchester United could help him get back to his best.

With the European Championships coming up next summer, Sancho will be hoping to establish himself as a starter for the England national team as well. He needs to play regularly during the second half of the campaign for that to happen. Moving away from Old Trafford would be ideal for all parties, and if Barcelona are not prepared to provide him with an exit route, it will be interesting to see who is.
