Manchester United have set a £50 million asking price for unwanted star Jadon Sancho, as Ben Jacobs potentially rules out Juventus move.

According to Ben Jacobs via Give Me Sport, Manchester United could ask for £50 million to sell Jadon Sancho. The Red Devils are not opposed to a loan move as long as it comes with an obligation clause close to their demand. Things look bleak for the 23-year-old attacker ahead of January.

The Jadon Sancho saga has taken another turn as Manchester United names their asking price for the 23-year-old attacker. The Red Devils are open to letting the winger leave in January as long as they can receive a sizeable return on their investment.

Manchester United parted ways with £73 million to sign Sancho from Borussia Dortmund. He has yet to come anywhere close to replicating his Bundesliga form. His feud with manager Erik ten Hag has not seen any resolution as either party remains adamant about a compromise. The Dutchman recently said Sancho knows what’s needed in order for him to return, but things do look bleak for the 23-year-old attacker.

Juventus had links with a move for Sancho ahead of January. Manchester United’s £50 million asking price could scupper any move from the Italians. Some reports indicated that Bioanconeri wanted an initial loan move with an option or obligation clause.

Moreover, the £50 million price tag somewhat puts Juventus out of the race, as journalist Ben Jacobs insists the Italians cannot afford a deal.

Jacobs said, “Manchester United are looking for somewhere in the region of £50 million. It’s the same figure quoted to Al-Ettifaq when they made an offer at the back end of the last window. “

“That number makes it very difficult for Juventus, or any of the Italian clubs to make a move. So it’ll be a case of whether Manchester United get that offer and perhaps they’re still waiting to see if they do. Or if there’s going to have to be some compromise.”

Sancho reportedly wants a return to Borussia Dortmund. Manchester United’s recent links with Donyell Malen gave rise to rumours of a swap deal. Such a prospect remains out of the question for now, although the Dutchman got offered to the Red Devils as he’s ready to quit the German side.

As things stand, Sancho would like to play regular football, but that doesn’t look easy at Manchester United. As Jacobs said, the club might find it challenging to sell the 23-year-old attacker at that £50 million asking rate. Hence, they might have to compromise on that at some stage to see the winger leave.
