Serie A giants Juventus have reportedly contacted the agent of long-serving Real Madrid veteran Toni Kroos over a possible move in 2024.

According to a report by Italian outlet Calciomercato, Toni Kroos is the subject of interest from Juventus. The Serie A giants view the long-serving Real Madrid veteran as a short-term solution in the middle of the park. And they have contacted his entourage to discuss the possibility of a move next year.

Toni Kroos and a Decade of Excellence

Toni Kroos has been one of the best midfielders in the world for over a decade. The 33-year-old rose to prominence during his stint with Pep Guardiola before joining Real Madrid in a deal worth around €25 million in July 2014. Since then, he has been a pivotal figure for Los Blancos.

The German midfielder is a World Cup winner with his national side, going all the way in the 2014 edition. Meanwhile, Kroos has won every trophy with Real Madrid, including multiple UEFA Champions League and La Liga titles. The long-serving veteran has turned out 436 times thus far for Real Madrid, chipping in with 28 goals and 94 assists.

But Kroos’s importance for Real Madrid has reduced this season, with Carlo Ancelotti starting to phase him and Luka Modric out of the first-team picture. While the veteran midfielder has featured regularly in the last few weeks due to Real Madrid’s injury crisis, he will soon become a bit-part player for them.

Juventus Calling?

So, a summer departure is on the cards for Kroos, who has also hinted towards early retirement for a long time. But Juventus will look to extend the German midfielder’s career by signing him next year. And the Serie A giants have already made their first move by contacting his agent.

The Bianconeri will be without Paul Pogba for the foreseeable future after he failed a doping test. In addition, Massimiliano Allegri is sweating over Adrien Rabiot’s long-term future, with the Frenchman in the final year of his contract. So, it behoves Juventus to invest in a midfielder, with Toni Kroos emerging as a viable target.

Reports have also linked the former German international with several Premier League clubs. But Juventus’s emerging interest might tip the scales, especially with the Serie A giants establishing contact with his agent.
