Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle United are all interested in the services of 22-year-old Atlanta sensation Thiago Almada.
According to a report by Calciomercato, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle United are all keen on having Thiago Almada in their ranks. The 22-year-old Atlanta sensation is keen on making a move to Europe in the upcoming transfer window and there are quite a few clubs ready to battle it out for his services.
Almada came up the ranks at Vélez Sarsfield before joining Atlanta in the winter of 2022. He has gone from strength to strength since joining the Major League Soccer club. He has featured in a total of 66 matches for the MLS club and has contributed towards 43 goals.
In the 2023 season, he played 35 games and contributed with 13 goals and 16 assists. The 22-year-old’s impressive performances haven’t gone unnoticed. His ability to find the back of the net and create chances for his teammates have resulted in interest from across Europe.
While he has a contract with Atalanta that runs until the summer of 2025, the player has made it clear that he wants to make a move to Europe in the upcoming transfer window. Almada has even said that he would prefer to join a club in the Premier League or La Liga.
And, when it comes to the English top flight, there is no shortage of interest in his services. Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle United are all interested and have been monitoring him for a while now.
The Red Devils are always on the lookout for young exceptional players who can help their cause. And, they feel Almada could help improve their attacking third. Of late, Chelsea have invested in a lot of young players with huge potential and they are expected to carry on in a similar fashion. As a result, the Argentine World Cup winner could be a great fit for the club.
The Magpies are looking to build a team that can compete for major titles in a few years and they are investing in players who can help them achieve their goals. Newcastle believe the 22-year-old is a special talent and are keen on adding him to their ranks.
As far as the Merseyside club are concerned, their midfield overhaul is not complete yet. Jurgen Klopp wants to add an attacking midfielder and he feels Almada could help them in the short as well as long run.
