Liverpool are interested in acquiring the services of the 24-year-old Bologna attacking midfielder Lewis Ferguson.

According to a report by il BiancoNero, Liverpool are keen on having Lewis Ferguson in their ranks. The 24-year-old attacking midfielder has been in sensational form in the ongoing season, and his impressive performances have attracted the attention of quite a few top clubs from across Europe.

Lewis Ferguson joined Bologna in the summer of 2022 and has since gone from strength to strength. He has featured in a total of 48 matches for the Serie A club over the past 18 months and has contributed towards 14 goals.

In the ongoing season, the Scottish international has seven goal contributions in his 15 outings. While his numbers might seem average, his impact on the pitch has been exceptional. He has been a creative force for the Serie A club and has already established himself as the mainstay of the team.

Ferguson’s contract with Bologna runs until the summer of 2027. But he could end up parting ways with the club in the upcoming transfer window as multiple clubs seem ready to make moves. Liverpool are one of the clubs that are linked with the 24-year-old.

Ferguson’s impressive performances have attracted the attention of the Merseyside club, and they could make a move for him in the winter. Jurgen Klopp might have signed multiple midfielders during the summer but he is still keen on reinforcement.

The German tactician still feels the need to sign a few more midfielders to complete his overhaul in the centre of the park. He is keen on adding an attacking midfielder to the mix and has shown interest in Florian Wirtz, someone who has a creative edge and can help create more chances. Ferguson could be a great fit for the club given the kind of performances he has had in the recent past.

But, it won’t be easy to acquire his services as there are other clubs who will make life difficult for the Reds. Juventus and Lazio are two Serie A clubs keen on having him in their ranks. And, according to the report, Lazio have already started making moves to land him in the winter.
