England international Jack Grealish could part ways with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the near future.

According to Fabrizio Romano via CaughtOffside, Jack Grealish might consider parting ways with Manchester City. The 28-year-old winger played a pivotal role in their incredible treble-winning campaign last season but a lot has changed since then, he is no longer a guaranteed starter.

Grealish came up the ranks at Aston Villa. After proving himself in the English top flight while playing for Villa, he joined Manchester City in the summer of 2021. He has gone from strength to strength under Pep Guardiola and has become one of the mainstays of the team.

However, a lot has changed since the start of the 2023-24 season. Grealish has had a slight deep in form, he is still doing a decent job but the 28-year-old hasn’t met the expected levels. As a result, he seems to have lost his place to Jeremy Doku.

The former Rennes winger has been on fire since joining Manchester City last summer. He has featured in 16 matches for the Manchester-based club and has contributed towards nine goals.

His exceptional performances have resulted in Grealish getting limited time on the pitch. In his 14 appearances, he has only racked up 870 minutes with two goal contributions. While his current situation at City is quite comfortable, Romano believes things could change if he doesn’t get enough game time until the end of the season.

The transfer expert said: ‘Eight months is a long time in football and many things can change, but at this stage there’s absolutely nothing negative with regards to Jack Grealish’s situation at Man City,’

‘The club have him in their future plans and he’s focused on City.’

Romano believes Grealish is focused on Manchester City and has no plans of parting ways at this stage. He has a contract that runs until the summer of 2027 and he is very much in the plans of City for the future. But, things could change in Eight months’ time.

With Doku in red-hot form, the England international will have to pull things together and get to his best once again in order to reclaim his place in the starting XI. Guardiola would love to see Grealish fight for his place.
