Crystal Palace and West Ham United are keen on signing 21-year-old English attacker Sam Greenwood from Leeds United.

Sam Greenwood is currently on loan at Middlesbrough, and the 21-year-old is on the radar of the two Premier League clubs according to TEAMtalk. He can operate as a centre forward as well as an attacking midfielder. The 21-year-old has four goals to his name this season.

The England under-21 star is rated highly in the country, and he has a bright future ahead of him. It is no surprise that the likes of Crystal Palace and West Ham are keen on signing the former Arsenal trainee. He could prove to be a quality long-term investment for both clubs, and they could help him develop further and fulfil tremendous potential.

Crystal Palace need to add more quality and depth to their attack. Jean-Philippe Mateta and Odsonne Edouard are the only goalscoring options at their disposal, and they have not been at their best this season.

Signing a quality attacker could make a big difference for them going forward, and it remains to be seen whether the Eagles can secure an agreement to sign Greenwood. Meanwhile, West Ham have improved their attack with the arrival of Mohammed Kudus. But they still need someone who can lead the line for them.

The 21-year-old Leeds United attacker could be a useful long-term acquisition for them. It remains to be seen whether Leeds are prepared to sanction his departure. They have enough depth in their attack, and Greenwood might struggle for regular game time at Elland Road. The two London clubs have also shown interest in other strikers like Hugo Ekitike.

Greenwood needs to play regularly at the stage of his career, and it remains to be seen where he ends up. According to reports, a permanent stay at Middlesbrough could be on the cards as well. It remains to be seen whether Michael Carrick’s side decide to sign the former Arsenal trainee permanently at the end of the season.

There is no doubt that Greenwood could develop into a quality Premier League player in the near future but he needs to focus on his development for now. He will have plenty of opportunities to join big clubs in the near future if he continues to do well at this level.
