Real Madrid will soon make a final attempt to sign Kylian Mbappe, with the club’s last offer set to arrive at the turn of the year.
According to Spanish journalist Jorge C Picon, Real Madrid will not go hell for leather to sign Kylian Mbappe. The Merengues will present their final offer to sign the 24-year-old at the turn of the year. But they will only launch the offensive for the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner if he proves that he wants to join Los Blancos.
Kylian Mbappe: One of the Best in the World
Kylian Mbappe is one of the best players in the world, coming leaps and bounds in the last half a dozen years. The Frenchman rose to prominence during the 2016/17 season with AS Monaco, playing his part in winning the Ligue 1 title. PSG then pounced by securing his services on loan in the 2017 summer transfer window, beating many other bigwigs to his signature.
Les Parisiens completed a permanent transfer a year later, and the 24-year-old has been a talismanic figure for them. But Mbappe’s future has constantly been the subject of speculation, with reports heavily linking Real Madrid and other bigwigs with him. That was also the case in the last two summer transfer windows.
But the Ligue 1 champions have retained Mbappe’s services despite the push by many high-profile clubs. The closest the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner came to leaving PSG was this past summer when the club banished him after his announcement to run down his contract. But he has since become a pivotal figure again for PSG, amassing 17 goals and two assists in 17 outings.
Mbappe and Real Madrid: A Long-Standing Saga
But Mbappe’s PSG future remains uncertain, as he has entered the final year of his contract. Such a situation has captured the attention of many European bigwigs, including well-known Premier League clubs. Reports have also invariably linked Mbappe with Real Madrid, although those rumours have cooled down lately.
Reports last month claimed that Real Madrid had ruled out a Bosman move for Mbappe after chasing him in the last three summer transfer windows. But the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner can be a top-notch solution in the final third for Los Blancos, considering his incredible output. However, Real Madrid will not go all out to secure his services, and they want him to prove he desires the move.
The Merengues will finally present their last offer to secure Mbappe’s services at the turn of the year. But the decision to join Real Madrid ultimately rests with the 24-year-old, following which Los Blancos will launch the offensive.
