Lautaro Martinez has been linked with a Chelsea and Manchester United in recent months but is ready to commit his future to Inter Milan.

However, a report from 90min has claimed that Lautaro Martinez is ready to sign a new contract with Inter Milan. The Argentine international is a target for Chelsea and Manchester United.

Martinez has established himself as one of the finest strikers in the world, and he has scored 15 goals for Inter Milan across all competitions this season. His performances have attracted the attention of top clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United.

Both Premier League clubs will be disappointed with the development, and it remains to be seen whether they decide to move on to other targets now. Lautaro Martinez has proven himself in Serie A, and a move to the Premier League would have been an exciting opportunity for him.

Chelsea could certainly use a quality striker like him after struggling to score goals in recent months. They signed Nicolas Jackson this past summer but the former Villarreal striker has not been able to solve their goalscoring problems. Martinez would have been a substantial upgrade on the 22-year-old.

The Argentine international is not just a reliable goalscorer, but he will add creativity, link-up play and technical ability in the final third as well. Meanwhile, Manchester United spent a substantial amount of money on Rasmus Hojlund during the summer transfer window.

The Danish international is expected to develop into a top-class player with the right coaching and guidance. However, he is still quite young and he needs time to adapt to a new league. Manchester United need to sign another player who can share the goalscoring burden with the Danish striker and Martinez emerged as a target.

The Argentine international is at the peak of his powers right now, and he could have made an instant impact at Old Trafford. Both Chelsea and Manchester United will be hoping to fight for major trophies in the coming seasons and they need top-quality players in order for that to happen. Someone like Martinez would have transformed them.

The striker has helped Inter Milan win the Serie A title and he was a part of the World Cup-winning squad for Argentina last year as well. It will be interesting to see if Chelsea and Manchester United can convince him to snub a contract renewal at the Italian club and pursue a different challenge at this stage of his career.
