Manchester City ready to triple Valentin Barco wages

Manchester City are ready to splash the cash to acquire the services of 19-year-old Boca Juniors sensation Valentin Barco.

According to a report by Soyxeneize, Manchester City are quite serious about their pursuit of Valentin Barco. The Premier League champions are keen on having the 19-year-old sensation in their ranks, and they are ready to triple his wages to land him at the club.

Barco has come up the ranks at Boca Juniors. He was promoted to their first team last summer and has so far featured in a total of 35 matches for their first team. The teenage sensation has featured in 32 matches in the 2023 season and has contributed towards five goals.

While his numbers do not seem outstanding, his overall gameplay has impressed one and all. The 19-year-old has been a standout player for the Argentine club. Barco is naturally a left midfielder but has also featured as a left-back, left-winger as well as a central midfielder in the 2023 season.

His versatility and impressive performances have not gone unnoticed. Several top clubs from across Europe are keen on having the teenager in their ranks. But, the report suggests Manchester City are willing to go all out to sign him.

They are willing to flex their financial muscles in order to land him at the club. And, with Boca Juniors’ season done and dusted, all eyes are on the upcoming transfer window. There is a big possibility that Barco might not be a part of the Argentine club when they kick start the 2024 season.

Manchester City consider him to be a huge prospect for the future. They feel he could help them in the short as well as long term. While there are other clubs interested in the 19-year-old whose contract with Boca Juniors runs until the end of 2024, Pep Guardiola is quite serious about their pursuit.

The Citizens are willing to triple his wages to land him at the club. He currently earns $406,000 per year at the Argentine club, and the treble winners are ready to offer him over €1.2 million per year. They do not want to miss out on the Argentine youth international and are willing to do everything in their power to sign him.
