Manchester United, Liverpool keen on Sam Curtis

Manchester United and Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing Irish wonderkid Sam Curtis in the coming months.

Sam Curtis is an under-21 international for the Republic of Ireland, and his performances have attracted the attention of the English clubs. A report from 90min claims that Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are all keen on the 17-year-old.

Curtis is highly rated in and around his homeland, and he is expected to have a bright future ahead of him. The opportunity to join a top Premier League club will be an attractive option for him, and the player might find it difficult to turn down a potential transfer.

It would be a massive opportunity for him. And joining clubs like Manchester United and Liverpool could help him develop further and fulfil his tremendous potential. Managers like Erik ten Hag and Jurgen Klopp have a proven track record of nurturing talented players, and they could help him develop into a top-class defender.

Similarly, Manchester City have done well to nurture talented young players in recent seasons. In addition, the opportunity to work under a world-class manager like Pep Guardiola will be an added incentive.

Tottenham have played impressive football this season, and they will want to add more quality and depth to the side. Ange Postecoglou is looking to build a formidable squad for the future, and Sam Curtis would be a solid, long-term investment.

It will be interesting to see if these clubs can agree on a fee with St Patrick’s Athletic. They will face competition from championship clubs like Middlesbrough and Leeds United as well. Scottish champions Celtic have been monitoring the full-back as well.

Clearly, there is no shortage of interest in the 17-year-old full-back prodigy and he will hope to join the club that will provide him with a clear pathway to the first team. If these clubs manage to sign in for a reasonable price in the coming months, the move could prove to be a major bargain when he fulfils his tremendous potential.
