Serie A giants AC Milan want to acquire the services of the 23-year-old Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior on a priority basis.
According to a report by Gazzetta dello Sport via Sport Witness, AC Milan are keen on having Jakub Kiwior in their ranks. The 23-year-old defender has experience of playing in the Italian top flight, and the Rossoneri consider him a priority target for the winter transfer window.
Jakub Kiwior made a name for himself quite early in his career while playing for Spezia. On the back of impressive performances, the Gunners signed him at the start of the year for a fee of €25 million.
While he might not be a regular at this stage, the 23-year-old has huge potential. And, the Gunners believe he will play a big part in their first team in the near future. Meanwhile, the player has already established himself as a regular in the Poland national team.
Since joining the North London club he has featured in 16 matches and has also scored a goal. In the ongoing season, he has featured in eight matches. The Poland international’s contract with the Gunners runs until the summer of 2028, and they have no intentions of parting ways with him in the near future.
Meanwhile, AC Milan are keen on acquiring his services. The Serie A giants lack depth in the heart of the defence and want to land the 23-year-old at the club in the winter window. He is a priority target for them as they believe he could become a special player.
Despite Arsenal’s stance on the future of Kiwior, AC Milan are willing to try their luck. They do not have the financial strength to pull off a permanent transfer. As a result, they are looking to sign him on loan this winter.
Even the Gunners do not have much depth in defence, and Mikel Arteta has no intentions of offloading any of his defenders. However, if they end up making signings in the winter to bolster their defence, they could allow Kiwior to join the Italian giants on loan.
