Manchester United could offer more than €55 million for Evan Ferguson

Manchester United are ready to break the bank and pay more than €55 million for the services of 19-year-old Brighton striker Evan Ferguson.

According to a report by Fichajes, Manchester United are keen on having Evan Ferguson in their ranks. The 19-year-old Brighton striker’s incredible start to the new season has attracted a lot of attention. And, the Red Devils are one of the clubs willing to go all out for his signatures.

Ferguson joined Brighton in the winter of 2022 and in just six months he went from their youth team to the first team. Since getting promoted to the first team, he has featured in a total of 43 matches and has contributed towards 19 goals.

The teenage sensation has taken his game to another level this season. He has been in incredible touch in front of the goal. The Irish international has featured in 11 Premier League games and has contributed towards five goals.

His exceptional performances have attracted a lot of attention from the Premier League. Many top clubs are keen on having him in their ranks and Manchester United are one of the club. The Red Devils want more firepower in attack and they will look to sign someone before the start of the next season.

Brighton’s Ferguson is on their radar and they could make a move for his services in the summer of 2024. United feel he is the perfect fit for the club. Meanwhile, the 19-year-old could form a deadly duo up top alongside summer signing Rasmus Hojlund.

According to the report, the Red Devils are ready to pay more than €55 million to sign the Brighton prospect who could go on to be a special player. While United are willing to prise him away, they will have to compete with Arsenal and Chelsea for his signatures.

Mikel Arteta already has two quality number nines in his ranks at Arsenal but is looking for a different profile. He wants to sign an out-and-out striker and Ferguson surely fits the bill.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have struggled to score goals at certain stages and they are on the lookout for a world-class number nine. Signing Ferguson could do wonders for them. Not only will solve their goal-scoring crisis, but the 19-year-old is also a perfect fit for their transfer policy which targets young players with huge potential.
