Fulham are ready to enter the chase for Aston Villa and Tottenham target Samuel Iling-Junior, with Juventus ready to sell.
According to TEAMtalk, Samuel Iling-Junior continues to add to his suitors from the Premier League, with Fulham joining the chase. Aston Villa and Tottenham are already considering moves for the 20-year-old English winger, with Juventus reportedly open to offers.
Samuel Iling-Junior may have made the right decision to move abroad when he chose to leave Chelsea’s youth sides and join Juventus. The move paid dividends for the 20-year-old English winger to flourish in a different environment. But his prospects of cementing a place in the first team look slim.
He has made brief appearances since 2020 and has managed to impress with his performances. Massimiliano Allegri has used him on the left-hand side this season as Samuel Iling-Junior made four outings for the side, providing one assist.
As Allegri does not tend to use a system with traditional wingers, he usually deploys players like Iling-Junior in a wing-back role. On that wing, the 20-year-old English winger faces competition from Federico Chiesa and Filip Kostic, making it a daunting task to cement his place in the squad.
With his contract expiring in 2025, Juventus are considering a sale ahead of the January window, with some notable Premier League sides keen on signing him. West Ham United are one of the sides keen, with David Moyes looking at attractive options before the next window opens.
Tottenham have held an interest, and they might carry it forward from last summer. This time around, Spurs might look to approach, as Ange Postecoglou remains keen to add a wide attacker. The prospect of joining the North London side could appeal to the 20-year-old English winger, making Spurs a top contender in this chase.
Aston Villa are also interested, as Unai Emery has been looking for a new winger since the summer despite signing Moussa Diaby from Bayer Leverkusen. Much will depend on the price that Juventus could demand for the 20-year-old English winger, which, going by his stature in the squad, might prove efficient enough for Premier League sides like Villa or Spurs.
Now, Fulham have joined the chase for the winger, with Marco Silva equally keen on adding attacking reinforcements to his squad. The Cottagers have made a bad start to their campaign and are thoroughly struggling in the final third.
Someone like Iling-Junior could add some much-needed dynamism that seems missing, with Silva increasingly relying on the ageing Willian on the left side. The Juventus man could bring a new dimension, which could help the Cottagers move forward in their objectives.
There is also less pressure in joining a team like Fulham regarding the hierarchy of football clubs in the Premier League. The Cottagers must fight hard, beat teams like Aston Villa or Tottenham to get through to the player and then negotiate terms with Juventus on the price and other details.
