The 19-year-old did manage to leave a mark with an impressive performance. Sporting were in the lead when Neves found the back of the net in injury time to level things up. And, post that, Casper Tengstedt scored the winner in the 90+7th minute.

Neves’s performance suggests that all four clubs might end up pushing for his signatures in the near future. Manchester United are looking to add a new defensive midfielder to the mix as they are not happy with Casemiro’s performances in the ongoing season. And, they are interested in having Neves in their ranks.

Even Mikel Arteta wants a new defensive midfielder. He wants to add someone who is young and can help them in the long run. The 19-year-old could be a great fit for the club. As far as Liverpool are concerned, their midfield overhaul is not yet complete. They might have signed Wataru Endo in the summer but they still need another defensive midfielder, preferably someone who is young.

Chelsea’s focus has been on signing young players with huge potential and the 19-year-old surely fits the bill. He is already a regular at Benfica and has already featured for the Portugal national team. He fits the Blues’ transfer philosophy and they could surely land him at the club in the near future.
