Serie A giants Juventus have reportedly contacted Manchester United over a potential deal for fringe star Jadon Sancho.

According to Italian outlet SOS Fanta, Juventus have asked for information for Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho, who can leave Manchester United on loan with part of his salary paid by the Red Devils.

Jadon Sancho’s situation has been the talk of the football world for a while now, as he finds himself frozen out of Erik ten Hag’s plans at Old Trafford. Manchester United have been insistent that Sancho apologise to his manager and teammates for an Instagram post that suggested the Dutchman was lying when he was critical of Sancho’s training performances following the defeat at Arsenal on September 3.

Sancho has been restricted to just 79 minutes across three appearances so far this season and has not featured in ten Hag’s squad since the thrilling comeback victory over Nottingham Forest on August 26, eight days before Manchester United’s trip to the Emirates.

Recent reports have suggested the 23-year-old will not give an apology, and the relationship between the two is fractured beyond repair, with the England international locked out of Manchester United’s first-team training facilities at Carrington.

There is no sign of a possible resolution, and the club will be open to discussions with interested suitors as we head towards the January transfer window. Several European clubs are thought to be interested in giving the winger a chance to recapture the form that led to his £73 million move to United in 2021.

Juventus have been touted as a prime rival to Borussia Dortmund if Sancho is to remain in European football, having already asked for information to understand the required terms around a potential loan move.

Juve directors Cristiano Giuntoli and Giovanni Manna travelled to London last week and were spotted at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to watch Tottenham vs Chelsea on Monday night. Sancho is also among a host of Premier League targets for the Bianconeri as they look to raid the English top flight.

Juve, though, are only interested in a loan deal with Manchester United, who will be expected to continue to pay a chunk of Sancho’s salary. The Red Devils prefer a permanent exit and to recoup most of their initial investment in the player.

But the only way that can happen is if the Saudi Pro League clubs come into the fray. From the player’s perspective, Sancho would do well to accept a move to Juventus if the opportunity comes along this January, as he looks to revive his once-promising career.
