Real Madrid will reportedly keep tabs on 20-year-old Spanish whizkid Alberto Moleiro at UD Las Palmas throughout the 2023/24 season.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Don Diario, Alberto Moleiro remains the subject of interest from Real Madrid. Juni Calafat is an admirer of the 20-year-old midfielder. So, Los Blancos will monitor the youngster’s progress closely at UD Las Palmas throughout the 2023/24 season.
Alberto Moleiro is one of the brightest young prospects to have emerged in Spain in the last few years. An attacking midfielder by trade, the Spaniard has added to Spain’s never-ending array of midfield talent. Meanwhile, he has been with Las Palmas since July 2018 and has come leaps and bounds in the last half a decade.
Moleiro made his first-team debut as a 17-year-old in August 2021 and has bided his time to play in La Liga. The 20-year-old did not hastily decide to join a bigger club, even though he has been the subject of interest from many well-known Premier League outfits. That has paid off, as he is now a pivotal figure for Las Palmas.
Finally playing in La Liga for the first time this term, the youngster has adapted well to life in the Spanish top flight. Moleiro recently scored his first La Liga striker and has a solid tally of two goals and one assist in five appearances thus far. Meanwhile, the player’s progress has not gone unnoticed, capturing the attention of Real Madrid.
The 20-year-old Spanish whizkid has also been a target for Barcelona for a long time. As for Real Madrid, the Merengues have closely monitored Moleiro’s progress for many years. But they have never pulled the trigger to prise him away from Las Palmas in the last few years. However, that will change this year.
Juni Calafat is an admirer of Moleiro’s talent and will closely monitor his progress throughout the 2023/24 season. Real Madrid’s wishlist also contains other highly-rated prospects like Javi Guerra and Hugo Sotelo. But the Las Palmas midfielder is also a viable target.

While Moleiro is primarily an attacking midfielder, he might have to play on the right flank if he joins Real Madrid due to Jude Bellingham’s presence in the team. It will be interesting to see if the 20-year-old Spanish whizkid becomes the top target for Los Blancos in the coming months.
