Luka Modric has no intentions of parting ways with Real Madrid in the winter transfer window amid interest from Manchester United.

According to a report by Fichajes, Manchester United are interested in having Luka Modric in their ranks. The Real Madrid veteran is on the radar of quite a few clubs, and they could push for his services in the January transfer window. But, Modric has no intentions of parting ways with Los Blancos.

Modric joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2012 from Tottenham Hotspur. The 38-year-old has gone from strength to strength after joining the team in white. He became one of the mainstays of the club and formed a deadly midfield trio with Toni Kroos and Casemiro, helping Real Madrid win three back-to-back Champions League titles.

The Croatian midfield genius has won five Champions League titles and a Ballon d’Or during his time at Real Madrid. He will surely go down as one of the greatest midfielders in the history of the club. While Modric played a very prominent role until last season, he has not had much game time in the first half of the new season.

With his game time taking a hit and his contract running out in the summer of 2024, a few clubs were looking to try their luck in the winter transfer window. Modric has been on the wishlist of quite a few clubs for years now, and they would still love to have him in their ranks despite him being in the twilight of his career.

Manchester United are one of the clubs that have been linked with the 38-year-old. The Red Devils would love to have him in their ranks. His arrival will change a lot of things for them, and it will add a lot of experience.

Manchester United are struggling at the moment and an experienced player like the Croatian international could do wonders for them. While the Red Devils would love to sign him in the winter, they are unlikely to have their wish fulfilled.

Modric is fully committed to Real Madrid, and he has no intentions of parting ways mid-season. The 38-year-old feels he will have a much bigger role in the second half of the season, and he is keen on saying goodbye in style.
