West Ham United and AC Milan are reportedly interested in signing in-form 25-year-old Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres.

A report from 90min has claimed that Viktor Gyokeres has attracted the attention of AC Milan and West Ham United. The Swedish striker joined Sporting CP in July, signing a five-year contract with them. It would be quite surprising if the Portuguese giants decided to cash in on him in the coming months.

Gyokeres has managed to hit the ground running at his new club, scoring 11 goals across all competitions this season. The 25-year-old could prove to be a quality acquisition for West Ham United, and it will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds.

The Hammers need to bring in a quality striker to replace Michail Antonio, and the 25-year-old would be a superb option. The opportunity to play in the Premier League could be an attractive option for the striker, and it will be interesting to see if West Ham decide to test the waters with an official proposal in the coming months.

West Ham have done well to improve their squad during the summer transfer window, and they have signed Mohammed Kudus to add more goals and creativity to their attack. However, they will still need to sign a reliable goalscorer if they want to push for European football every season.

They managed to win the UEFA Europa Conference League last season and are currently competing in the Europa League. A club of their stature should be pushing for Champions League qualification in the coming seasons and quality signings will certainly help them finish high up the table.

It will be interesting to see if they can compete with AC Milan for the striker. The Italian giants need to plan for a future without Olivier Giroud, and the Sporting CP striker would be a reliable addition in the final third. The Rossoneri have also shown interest in other strikers like Santiago Gimenez.

It will be interesting to see which of West Ham and AC Milan can convince Sporting CP to sell the player in the coming months. A move to the Premier League would be an exciting step up in his career. He was linked with Everton in the past.
