Serie A giants Juventus are interested in acquiring the services of 28-year-old Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

According to a report by 90min, Juventus are looking to reinforce their midfield in the winter transfer window, and Tottenham Hotspur’s Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is one of the names on their list. The 28-year-old has not had much game time since the start of the new season and could be on his way out in January.

Hojbjerg joined the North London club in the summer of 2020 after proving himself in the English top flight while playing for Southampton. He has gone from strength to strength since joining Spurs and has been a very important member of their first team over the years.

But, a lot has changed since the arrival of Ange Postecoglu at the club. The Australian manager does not rate the 28-year-old very highly. As a result, he has fallen down the pecking order. The Dane has featured in 10 Premier League games but has been on the pitch for less than 300 minutes.

Hojbjerg’s limited game time has resulted in him being linked with a move away from the club and with his contract running out in the summer of 2025, Tottenham could look to cash in on him in the near future.

Meanwhile, Juventus have been keen on his services for a while now, and they have recently enquired about his availability. Their sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli recently travelled to London to watch the 28-year-old in action. He was present in the stands of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in their 4-1 loss at the hands of Chelsea.

Fortunately for Giuntoli, he did get an opportunity to watch Hojbjerg in action as he was subbed on towards the end of the first half for injured Micky van de Ven. The Old Lady are quite keen on having the 28-year-old in their ranks.

With Nicolo Fagioli banned for seven months due to illegal betting and Paul Pogba unavailable for the foreseeable future because of doping, they do not have enough depth in the centre of the park. As a result, they want to add Hojbjerg to the mix and given his current situation, they could manage to land him at the club in the winter.
